Method
- Heat a pan on medium. Add the butter and let it melt across the base.
- Crack the eggs into the pan. Turn the heat off immediately and place the lid on.
- Leave for 2 to 3 minutes until the whites are set and the yolk is still runny.
Notes
This method gives you a soft, non-crispy fried egg with a runny yolk. No basting, no flipping, no fuss.
If you prefer over easy or a set yolk, flip the egg once the white is set and cook for another 30 seconds to a minute on the other side.
